This policy explains what this website does with information. It describes the site as it is built today, not features that may be added later.
In short: you can browse the whole site without giving us anything. Buying a package needs an account, and from that point we hold your brief, your order and the conversation about your project. Payments are handled by Stripe and card details never reach this site. There is no analytics, no advertising and no tracking of any kind.
This site is operated by a design studio based in Arizona, United States. This policy covers information handled through the website itself.
If you become a client, information exchanged during a project — by email, in calls and in the documents we send each other — is handled under the agreement for that project rather than under this page.
Browsing the site needs nothing from you. Information is collected at three points: when you create an account, when you fill in the project builder or buy a package, and when you send us a message.
There is also what any web server necessarily sees in order to deliver a page. Each is described precisely below.
Creating an account records your email address, a password and, if you give one, your name. The password is hashed by our authentication provider and is never visible to us in readable form.
We also hold the timestamps of when the account was created, when the address was confirmed and when you last signed in.
The project builder asks for details such as your name, email address, an optional phone number, your business name and location, and a description of the project. Those answers are saved to your account as you type them, so you can leave and come back to an unfinished brief.
When you pay, a copy of the brief as submitted is stored with the order and kept unchanged, so that both sides always have the same record of what was agreed.
A paid project also holds the contact details you set for it, the messages exchanged with the studio, any files either side uploads, and a log of the changes you make to your own project details.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Checkout takes place on Stripe's own pages: your card number, expiry and security code are entered with Stripe and are never sent to, seen by or stored on this site.
What we store is Stripe's own identifiers for the customer, the payment and any Website Care subscription, together with the amount, the currency, the package, any promotional code applied and the payment status. That is what lets your project page show what you paid and what is due next.
Where tax applies, Stripe calculates it at checkout from the billing address you give it. We do not calculate tax and do not hold a tax profile for you.
The contact form asks for your name, email address, a subject and a message. That content is emailed to the studio's own mailbox. Your address is used as the reply address so we can answer you.
The message itself is not stored in this site's database. What is stored is a one-way fingerprint of the submission and the time it arrived, which is how a double-click is recognized as one message and how the form is protected from being flooded. A fingerprint cannot be turned back into what you wrote.
As with any website, the hosting provider that serves these pages processes standard technical information in order to deliver them and to keep the service secure — typically the requesting IP address, browser and device type, the page requested and the time of the request. That information is handled by the hosting provider under its own terms.
Our payment processor performs its own fraud checks on a payment you make, which is a normal part of accepting card payments and is described in its own privacy policy.
Every cookie this site sets is first-party, and none is used for advertising or measurement. There are four:
The site does not use localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB or any similar browser storage.
There are no third-party cookies, no analytics, no tag manager, no advertising network and no tracking pixel. Nothing here builds a profile of you or follows you across other websites.
Typefaces are served from this site rather than from a third-party font service, so loading a page does not disclose your visit to a font provider.
Your account details are used to sign you in and to reach you about your account. Your brief, order and project workspace are used to design and build what you bought, and to keep a record of what was agreed.
Payment details held by Stripe are used to take the payment you authorised and, where you bought Website Care, to take the monthly payment when it falls due.
The preference cookies are used only to render the site the way you chose. Technical information processed by the hosting provider is used to deliver pages, diagnose faults and protect against abuse.
We do not use any of it for advertising, profiling or automated decision-making, and we do not send marketing email you did not ask for.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not trade, rent or otherwise transfer it to third parties for their own marketing.
It is shared with the service providers listed below, each of which processes it only to provide its part of the service. Information may also be disclosed if the law requires it, or to protect legal rights or the security of the site.
The following providers process information on our behalf. Each has its own privacy policy and its own security and retention practices.
Your account and everything attached to it — brief, orders, project workspace, messages and files — are kept for as long as your account exists, because they are the record of work you paid for.
The contact form's message content is not retained by this site at all; only the fingerprint and timestamp described above, which exist to prevent duplicates and abuse.
Payment records held by Stripe are retained under Stripe's own schedule and under the record-keeping periods that apply to a business's financial records. Hosting request logs are retained by the hosting provider under its own schedule.
If you want your account and its data removed, write to us and we will do it, subject to any records we are required to keep.
The site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection.
No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise. If a security incident affects personal information, we will notify those affected as required by applicable law, including Arizona's data breach notification law.
You can browse the whole site — every page, every case study, every package — without giving us anything and without creating an account.
Inside your account you can edit the contact details for a project at any time, and you can cancel Website Care yourself from the project page.
You can clear or block the preference cookies in your browser; the only effect is that the site stops remembering your theme, language and package choice. Clearing the session cookies signs you out. You can also use your browser's Do Not Track or global privacy control settings — since the site does no tracking, those settings do not change how it behaves.
Several United States states give residents rights over personal information held about them, such as the right to know what is held, to correct it, to delete it, or to opt out of its sale or of targeted advertising.
Those rights are honoured where they apply. We do not sell personal information and we do not carry out targeted advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of on those two counts.
To ask what is held about you, to have it corrected, or to have your account and its data deleted, write to contact@we-vision.co. We may need to confirm that the request comes from the account holder before acting on it.
This site is intended for businesses and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
The site links to external websites, including client sites shown in the portfolio. Those sites have their own privacy practices and this policy does not cover them.
This policy will be updated when the site's behavior changes. The date at the top of the page shows when the wording last changed.
Anything that would change what is collected or who receives it — a new service provider, analytics, a new feature that stores something — is reflected here before the change is made available.
Questions about this policy, and any request about the information held about you, can be sent through the contact form on this site or by email to contact@we-vision.co.
