What the businesswas up against.
A bespoke tailor sells time: decades of wear and sixty hours of handwork in a single suit. A catalogue of jackets cannot say that. Ashworth & Hale needed a site that makes a visitor feel they have already stepped through the door.
A deep green-black like a shopfront at dusk, a brass accent taken from the door furniture and a cloth-coloured cream for type. Condensed capitals for the promises, a classical italic for the asides and a mono face for the numbers, with a hand-signed script closing each chapter.
Quiet and exact. The house says what a suit takes — measurements, fittings, hours — and does not raise its voice.
Green-black ground, brass for every accent and cloth cream for type; nothing brighter than a brass button.
The page walks the visitor through the door, then up the stairs, through the cloth room and to the bench — one chapter per scroll.

Barlow Condensed in capitals states the promises, Cormorant Garamond italic whispers the asides, Manrope carries the small print, and a signature face signs off each chapter like a tailor’s chalk mark.
Cut by hand.Worn for a lifetime.
The homepage opens at the door of No. 14 and builds a suit in four layers — shirt, waistcoat, jacket and finishing — before showing the winter rail of eight pieces, a cloth room where each fabric tells its story, the sixty hours between cloth and finished coat, initials sewn by hand and a last for the footwear. It ends with the one action that matters: come in and be measured.

The same shopfront and headline rebuilt for a thumb: the chapters stack full width, the navigation folds into a Menu label and the fitting request stays within reach.
One business,one voice, everywhere.
A tailor’s site that sells hours and decades rather than jackets, and ends every path at the same invitation: request a fitting.
